I got my Voyage VR9000 and removed the spider and did the NPC-RC modification on it following the directions on here very closely. I ended up with RF Power full low about 1/2 watt dead key and RF Power full hi 6 watt dead key and a 30 watt swing over all. I got the VR9000 video and it showed with the standard tune up that the readings were the same,given that the dead keys can be changed with the vr pots. Most of the radios I have done the NPC to have had a signifigant gain in swing, I was wondering if the RF Transmit Alignment cans need tweaked a little? If so could you tell me what they are in order. Also with VR 16 it did not change the am low power setting no matter with it closed or completely open, did I do something wrong? Or are the readings I got normal even with the mod? Thanks for any help you can offer. |

I wish I could help , I never did the NPC mods and do not know how the results would look like on a meter with altered patterns.
