Hello i have a GE SuperBase that is compter controled for 26,510MHz to 30,415MHz in 5kHz step
what do you think i can get for this radio if I ever decide to get rid of it.
Also it can scan the channels like a scanner!

Al_lafon,

A radio is only worth what someone is willing to spend on it.

Check the internet auction sites and it will give you a rough idea of what people are willing to give for one.

They were a good radio in their time with the PLL02A chip but that time has come and gone with so many new radio's with more feature's as GE Radio's just did not make a big splash in the radio market.

Hmmm, I've got a Superbase...How/who made yours computer controllable?

One went over here in Australia, NIB for over $500au a couple of months ago. It looked absolutely gorgeous so i'd say the "New In Box" was fair dinkum. Just another one i'd love to add to the collection.......i'm allowed to dream. Now if i won Lotto.......lol.

There are computer interfaces for CBs out there. It's not hard to control the rather simple programming that early PLLs use with a parallel port interface. Why? That part I don't really understand because it sounds like overkill to me.

A digiscan like device just sounds much more practical to me, but if you can't build one yourself or find one for a reasonable price, I guess the computer interface makes sense.
