Al_lafon, A radio is only worth what someone is willing to spend on it. Check the internet auction sites and it will give you a rough idea of what people are willing to give for one. They were a good radio in their time with the PLL02A chip but that time has come and gone with so many new radio's with more feature's as GE Radio's just did not make a big splash in the radio market. Hope this help's, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9CEF CVC#2 |

One went over here in Australia, NIB for over $500au a couple of months ago. It looked absolutely gorgeous so i'd say the "New In Box" was fair dinkum. Just another one i'd love to add to the collection.......i'm allowed to dream. Now if i won Lotto.......lol. CEFFFCEF Bob CEF703. |

There are computer interfaces for CBs out there. It's not hard to control the rather simple programming that early PLLs use with a parallel port interface. Why? That part I don't really understand because it sounds like overkill to me. A digiscan like device just sounds much more practical to me, but if you can't build one yourself or find one for a reasonable price, I guess the computer interface makes sense. |
