I posted pictures of my 2005 Dodge Ram Daytona w/ hemi engine in the pictures section and someone noted that if you key an amp, it will start spittin' and a' spurtin!

Anyone know how much wattage these trucks can handle without RF overload of some critical system, or worse, blowing something out?

Honestly, it's very dependent on antenna location, quality of coax used, quality of amplified signal (harmonics) an wire routing.

If proper steps are taken then insane amounts of power can be used, if improper steps are taken then a "big radio" will mess with it.

Well, if I do anything it's going to be a barefoot radio but may be tweaked for optimal performance... No amplifiers for me.

A lot of radios out there though can be tweaked CLEANLY up to about 22 watts. Just want to be sure I don't screw anything up.

I ran an amp in my 2003 Dodge Ram Hemi and had no problems.
