Is this normal, or not? When running LSB 38,I have to turn my clarifier down to about 10 o'clock to get the freq. counter to 27.3850 at which point my recieve is understandable. But when I key my mic to transmit the freq. counter goes to 27.3855. Alot of people have said they have to clarify me in a totally diff. position than they do anyone else. Got any suggestions anyone?

Do a freq allignment and unlock the clarifier. Make sure it is good and warmed up before doing the allignment.

Hahaha, me do a freq. alignment...I'm a truckdriver not a radio tech.I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to start or what I was doing.

The service manual is very comprehensive. The freq counter on my 2547 was spot on but I can't say the same about all simply because I do not know.

There are 3 tuning cans, you will need a "swizzle stick" which is a plastic screwdriver type thing designed for RF/Electronics work. the Shaq sells them cheap. A metal screwdriver will change the value of the trimmer when you insert it and make it darn near impossible to tune without pulling your hair out!

the Clarifier unlock allows you to transmit and receive on the same freq, once it's "clarified" that's where it will transmit.

Take it to a certified technician and have the
alignment done correctly.

My thoughts also Dx431, I'm a truckdriver....I can talk on one all day, but when it comes to tuning, I better leave that to someone qualified....

Might check at Galaxys website about sending in in for a free reallignment (less shipping) if it's still under warranty. Warrantys are longer on the DX models.
