im running a klv 350 base amp with a 5 watt dead key swinging 15 into it and getting about 225 out.looking for a new radio soon and i need to know how much swing it will handle?

I wouldn't go over 20.

im sorry 3 watt DK swinging 15. 20? well this navaho 431 wont do that so i guess im allright but i've seen this amp do 300 with a 25 watt swing! i did;nt know thanks,iv'e heard everything from 20 to however much i can as long as i dont go over 10watt DK.

I 2nd what Caledonia says! 20 watts tops!
For the loudest cleanest bestest sounding station adjust the radio so that the amp swings 4 times what it deadkeys!

so i guess a saturn swinging 25 would be a little too much.thanks for the info i've allways been a pill man myself so these tubes are new to me.i just got a good deal on 1 that looks like new with new tubes and just been tuned so i thought id give it a shot and do away with the whole pwr supply,moble ,and crows nest of wires running moble in the house!im very pleased with the klv so far lets just see how long it lasts!

Try turning the RF power on your Saturn to get under 20 watts!

The 350 makes a great little amp, but you have to be nice to it--don't drive the snot out of it and do run it on low--nobody will notice the difference on your signal strength, and the amp will stay cool and last a good long time!

thanks!everyone says that the navaho sounds better than the saturn!guess ill keep it ,3 swinging 15.does'nt get too hot on high,not so hot that you can't hold your hand on it.getting a little over 200 watts on a tight workman meter.
