I have a recently aquired palomar 250. When you hook it up to the power supply it kicks the protection light on. This is with the power button on the linear in the off position. It is like it has a dead short. Everything on the inside looks nice and clean. The small diode by where the power enters looks like it has been changed, and I found a giant resistor with one leg broke and I fixed that. Don't know much about these things.
