ok not enough info huh? i brought this radio knowing it was broke.echo board was missing and a load of wires were cut.to the best of my knowhow all the wires are going to there right spot now.there is no audio during receive but sig meter moves.when i key up the tx and on air led light up but no wattage.on another radio right next to it i can barely hear the rogerbeep when i unkey and i get about 2bd signal on the other radio and about 3 to4 when i turn up watts..now im thinking maybe the audio chip isnt any good.how do i test that..
thanks in advance,
walt

Have you tried a different mic or at least confirmed that the current mic works on another radio perfectly? No broken mic wires, no broken solder connections in the mic housing and mic plug?
If you hear a little bit of your audio and the radio emmits like zero watts maybe it could mean your final is blown and what you are hearing is the driver transistor.
