i got a ps26kx 25 amp output is 6-15vdc at 25anp input is 115v ac 60hz 500w but heres the thing i just got a RCI-5050dx-100 and all open the p/s trips on am with p/s open and on ssb but if i turn p/s to 1/2 on ssb and am it seems to work fine? got any ideas?

scratch that its tripin with radio and p/s opened up.....must not be big nuff?

In theory 25 amps at 13V should be more than enough to run the 5050. I suspect the radio should pull around 15 amps on transmit.

Does it work ok on recieve? Do you have anything else running off of that supply? What happens if you try to run a different radio off of that supply?

just ran the rci then put icom on it and it seemed to do on worked great idle on recive then put rci back on it and it dimmed with radio open and p/s open but if i turned radio down it worked fine...

im guessing something in the p/s
