Either that or just use pin 10 and 11 of the MB8719 PLL chip, (to ground, through two switches) this will give you 27.455 - 27.605 with pin 11 grounded, and 27.605-28.045 with pin 10 grounded. No need for a "kit". Also, you can pull pin 16 of the PLL to ground through a switch for -10Kc jump.

Ok here is the full expansion mod tiny boy!

FIRST BE SURE TO LOCATE PIN #14 OF THE PLL,
THEN CAREFULLY CUT AWAY AND ISOLATE THIS PIN
AWAY FROM THE CIRCUIT BOARD RUN. THEN SOLDER
A 4.7K 1/4 WATT RESISTOR ACROSS THIS CUT.

you will need 3 spst switches,or you can use the
cb/pa,hi/lo,and brt/dim switches on the radio.

switch 1= solder a wire from pin #12 to one of the pins on the switch, then solder a wire from
pin #11 to the other side of the switch

switch 2= solder a wire from pin#10 on the pll
to one side of the switch, then solder a wire from
the other sideof the switch to chassis ground.

switch 3= solder a wire from the resistor on pin #14 to one side of the switch, then solder the other side of the switch to the pin oppisite of pin #10 (i think its pin # 9

With switches of you have regular cb.

I could be mistaken but I believe that the Grant LT doesn't use the MB or the RCI 8719. The Original President and Uniden Grant plus the Uniden Grant XL use the 8719........I think the LT went the way of the soundtracker with a different PLL altogether.
