--Hi, all. I have a Motorola two meter amplifier (only good for FM/CW) model "N1274A". Well, I use it for two meters, but on the front of the amp. it reads "Frequency 150.8-174 Mhz". I've used it for several years on two meters with no problems. Anyway, I looked at the final transistor and lo and behold, it is the M1104, which is the same as in my Stryker SR440-HP (which I am still loving as my "big dawg" mobile, haha).

--Since Stryker pre-drilled these radios with the ability to accept the SD-1446 transistor, I was wondering if it was feasible and technically possible to use the SD-1446 in this VHF amplifier in case the M1104 ever "blows up"?? Just curious. The amp. still works great, but I heard the M1104 was much more costly than the SD1446. Thanks for the help.
