Redwolf972, PIN #1 ~ WHITE = AUDIO PIN #2 ~ BLACK = RECEIVE PIN #3 ~ RED = TRANSMIT PIN #5 ~ SHIELD & BLUE = GROUND/COMMON No wires go to PIN #4 or PIN #6 and make sure that NO WIRE can come into contact with PIN #6. I highly suggest clipping Pin #6 from the Mic Plug before soldering the other wires to the mic plug to prevent any contact with Pin #6 as it has +13.8 Volts from the radio to Pin #6. I can attest to this personally.I've known for years this can happen and I "thought" I was being extra careful and POP!!!! There went that good ol choke! Thank goodness that's all and the CPU is safe and sound.Really made myself mad as you know what too! Slim |
