Hi, I haven't been on here in a while, but to answer your question if can be done, the best way to do it, the way Sam Lewis told me is to use the UTB-1 talkback board, just search the web for it as it's not a RF limited part, but made by the gentleman that helped design the 257. It's not a real easy install but not too hard either, I had mine done locally, and it works really well. If you need any more info let me know.
