Hey guys, I have a Kenwood TS-430s unit that I just brought home. The previous owner turned down SSB wattage to around a 25 watt PEP to drive a amp he amp, I was wondering what pot and where on board can a crank up SSB wattage to stock PEP 100w? any info would be appreciated

if i am not mistaken if you open the case it should tell you right ton the board which pot is what, least was on my 440.

DO NOT TUNE ANY POTS!
You have a rollback circuit on that that keeps it from going over a certain wattage from blowing radio.
Another thing is that the MIC GAIN controls output for watts also.
You need to check SWR's first. if you get SWR to a 2:5:1, you can run the full 100 watts. Anything over 3 is going to drop the wattage and won't get full output. What kind of antenna you using?

Take off the top cover. Toward the back and on the right are 2 pots you can see through a square hole in the chassis. If you look closely where they mount on the board, one is labeled ALC. |
