Hypothetically speaking would this work. Take an S-9-80 radio TS 400-V and a Sweet 16. Could you run the S-9-80 by itself or turn off the top gun and run the 400 or turn off the 400 turn on the top gun and run the 1600 while leaving everything in line. I honestly don't want to try this just wondering if it would work or why not if it would'nt.

no i dont think this would work.the s9-80 would overdrive the the ts400.the s9-80 would drive the
sweet 16 however not up too 100%.however imho
the sweet16 is the only t.s. amp id hook up to the s9-80

dale is right, bullseye. assuming you're getting 80 watts PEP & 20 watts dead key from the S9. the dx400 won't be happy with the S9. a dx1200 will work with the S9-80 pretty well too. the dx1600 & S9-80 might get you a bit more then the 1200/S9-80.
