i have a connex 3300 hp that has lost some of its modulation but only on the low power setting, it still works good on hi power. just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what to look for, thanks in advance for any assistance

I'd say start with looking at your meter you are using to check modulation. I personally would think that if you have it on a higher deadkey then you should have it on a lower key as well. But I guess I could be wrong. You could start shot-gunning parts if you feel like it. If not the best bet would be to use a scope and look for a bad/weak transistor in the modulation chain. You should always have more out than what is coming in.
What kinda meter are you using?

thanks for the reply, i was checking it with a dosy 2000 meter, i ended up fiddiling with vr 12 and found that it wasnt making good connection, fixed that and everything went right back to normal
