tr696f.
why? well, first & foremost....
<<<<<<<NO GALAXY RADIOS ALLOWED HERE
there are minor differences between the 2 though they do use the same board. though i'd still prefer the TR.

Out of the two, I would go with the Magnum S9.

Knowing the Magnum 3200 is a 10 meter base, and the TR696F is just a AM\SSB which would you prefer? And why?

i use a s-3200B & think it's one of the most underated radios of all time. has everything you need to talk around the corner and belive me around the world. just a pure no none sense functual radio. add a plug in type freq counter like the galaxy fc347 and you have continuos read out of the freq ur on. peak it for 100% modulation add a D104 or echomac 2000 mic and braodcast with the radios costing 3 times as much.i belive they are comming out with a 80 watt version but we all know what to do about that and they do drive a tubie real good. best radio under $300.00 ever. also an excellent talker on SSB takes a couple of minutes to settle down on freq on ssb after you turn it on but once on for about five minutes its totaly stable no drift.
