--Hi, all. I have owned a Millenium 3003 since last year and I have never been able to modify it following the super simple instructions. However, just today, I found out more on the mod. that has to be done before you can do the simple button pressing to mod. it every time the radio is turned on.

--It turns out (assuming this is true, I mean) that you have to remove the front of the radio to reveal the circuit board that is directly underneath the channel selector. From there, you need to remove D-555 and then short the printed circuit pads sw414 & sw413 together. It's only THEN that you go ahead with the "Func. and Freq." modification

--I guess my question(s) are, where is D-555 and SW414 and SW413? I absolutely cannot find them. I have used a magnifying glass, but my eyes cannot focus on it still. These diodes are tiny. Can anyone tell me where they are? Also, does anyone know of a website that has the schematics for this rig? I found most of the above info. through the copperelectronics.com forum from a post that is over four years old, by "Weakeststation" The post can be found at this address: http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/discus4/board-auth.cgi?file=/34/28012.html

Thanks for any help.
