OK, cant go below 26.965 or above 27.405Mhz. Can only toggle from channel display and frequency display. Hitting the function button, then hitting "call" and the display changes, but no letters for the band I'm on, ie A, B... And how does one change the tuning steps, I'm at 10 Khz, and would like to do 1Khz. And how far does the clarifier slide on this? I'm hoping 10 KC's. Like to pick up the RC's, ie 26.995, 27.045... and so on. Thanks. |

Sounds like the radio is in CB only mode and the jumper on the board needs to be moved from CON 4 to either CON 3 or CON 2 this will enable your radio to go from 25.165 to 29.699 Mhz. Also by doing this you should be able to tune by 10k or 1k by pressing the Step Button. Hope this helps! Outkast CEF 650

Great outcast! Right now, I cant do either and I did the optional "expand/align/tune" deal. I will call tech assist today. The thought of sending it back... Maybe just do it myself. I just dont want to void any warranty. I assume it was checked out??? Now I have to remove it from my truck, have the dual band HAM (2m/70cm) piggybacked on it, going to be a pain... Thanks for the help |

OK, the radio has something wrong. Checked the jumper, OK, either is in 10 meter mode or CB, but not both. Sent it back, and UPS has lost the package. No tracking activity for a week. Until this AM, it shows up in the middle of Illinois. So in a few more days, it should be ther for warranty. As for warranty assitance, copper was outstanding. Spoke to them, explained the condition, gave me a return auth number and that was it, no questions asked! They didnt even want a photo copy of the purchase recepit! Kudos to copper! |
