Weatherman49, I just did one of my 959's. I used Mosfet finals and did a mosfet driver. The outcome is a fine sounding 78w PEP radio. If you are doing this because the company you drive for does not allow you to have a amp and you can only install a single radio the modification is a nice one but I think with the time and money I spent on the driver, finals and everything else. I like the DX98 copper has for sale better. It is a fun install if that is what you are wanting to try. I love my 959 stock have 2 of them, I now have a 959 dual final and it is a great sounding radio. I also have done the stinger board install in one of my 959's, it was worth it just to say I did it to a radio. I would go with Bruce here though, Stock 959 and amp if you can use an amp, and want more. CEF #1003 CVC #0179 CEFham #293 Kryptkeeper
