I need info on how to fix this radio. I got this radio from a retired diesel mechanic who took it from a repoed truck. The radio works but I get a very low dead key. It has had several mods done. One is an echo installed in the dimmer switch (which I would like removed). I did the high power mod which is where I am at. A low dead key of about 1/2 watt but swings to 25 watts pep. So it works well just with the low dead key I can't adjust the SWR. Oh yeah the tuning slugs do nothing.
Anyone have any suggestions. |
