Hi gang!

I thought I read somehwere here on the Forum about a mod for the VR9000 that would give back the middle and upper portion of the 10 meter band that was lost during the regular modification, but now I can't seem to find that reference.

So, question is, IS there a mod that will give back the 10 meter frequencies above 28.305 MHz. The regular VR9000 freq mod shifts the frequencies downward so that 28.305 MHz is the upper limit.

I sure would like to have 28.310 MHz to 29.700 MHz, even if it meant losing the frequencies below CB channel 1 (26.965 MHz)!

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Harpoonman

I know if you solder a wire on the main plug in the front of the radio where all the knobs plug in, connecting pins 7 to 11 and 12 with a switch you can reclaim most of the 10 meter voice band, look up the 11 meter conversion for the DX33 or Melaka since they have the same EPT board as the VR9000, and just reverse the steps with a DPDT switch....
