All these rx mods are for these radios.
I have these 3 radios.....
if anyone knows what these parts are and which are the parts that need to replace em. (clearly not the exact same part number for the improved replacment)
Cobra 29 GTL LTD ST WX
Remove and replace TR7 D5 D6 and D24
Galaxy 88, and other radios which use the ept- 3600 PC board.
Remove and replace TR17 D1 D2 D23 and D24
Cobra 148F GTL DX+ which use the ept-0929, ept-0696, and ept-6900 PC boards.
Remove and replace Q17 D1 D2 D30 and D31 |

nte583 schottky diodes & 2sc2999 transistor for the SSB radios. mods work best in mb8719 boards, but MAY work in the galaxy export boards (88 & 148dx). may INCREASE noisy receive if it already has a lot of white noise, probably will work better in the 148dx then the 88.
mods USUALLY lower noise floor & increase receiver gain. MAY require a TWEAK of receive coils, SLIGHT TWEAK.
can't help with the 29/AM only radio..... |
