Had my own store and used to work on all types but my yes wont let me do it anymore so I guess I will just run my gums! Dose anyone know if any is there any mods to the FT736R? Well I need to know if there is a way to somehow (hold). I am a tech in ham radio and they have widened the use of 10 meter band for us. (off hold) can that be done to my radio? Its a tall task, I know fer sure. Thanks. Brad.

Ghost, if you are asking if you can modify the FT736 for 10 meters chances are not likely.I had a quick look at one and if I am correct it is a 2 meter and 70 cm rig ,vhf, uhf only.A cheap way to get on 10 meters is to try and locate a transverter that has 2 meter input to a 10 meter output or just get a radio that will do 10 meters. P.S. some came with 4 modules 50,144,440 and 1.2

Now you have ONE HECK of a VHF/UHF station all you need i a HF only radio.

There are many of them including the FT-747, ft-840 and the IC-718 and many more.

As for power I run 100 watts into a 12avq vertical when the bands are in any shape you don't need any more.

Thanks Bruce.
Your talkin about alot of money, I am a poor man and have bean out of work for some time do to health problems, don't know when I will get that first check even if I do but I trust God will meet my needs. I was thingkin on the lines of maybe an export base maybe used, useing some of the stuff I got left over and haveing someone do the deeds for me. Sometime we have to improvise and see where that leeds us. I still have to find someone to put all my ant. up since we moved. Im a hopein and prayin the Lord will see me through this and help me get back on line. In IL.God Bless all of you. In Jesus. Regards Brad.
