Hello, this is my Virgin Post, please be gentle.
I have been using a Cobra 2000GTL for over 20 years and I am ready for an up grade. I would like to puchase a RCI-2995DX if I can expand it's freq. range. Is this possible beyond what I have read so far?
"e-key"
"e-board" etc. etc. etc., no real details.
Is there a real mod. for this radio to expand the freqs.? IF so where?
Is there a list of ALL possible mods. for this unit so they can ALL be done in one service call?
Please advise.

WELCOME to the Copper Forum!
To answer your question Yes the 2995DX requires the e-chip for full coverage of the 10/11/12 meter bands.
If you order your 2995DX from Copper Electronics, just pick the Option: Expand, Align and Tune and your radio will be set for maximum performance on 10/11/12 meters when it arrives.

All is updated Board#5014-B, Adjustments
Are now in the Mods list too left.
The Clarifier Unlock is in 2950DX
OCT 23,07 mods below.
This radio was bougth from COPPER
OCT 23 07 the mod still works on current
R.C.I.2950DX,70,85,&2995 DX
