Try to achieve 100 % modulation. The radio only does 60 to 70 % with a stock mike. I only use SSB. What mods can I do?

are you saying that your modulation meter only reads 60-70 percent modulation when you are in the SSB mode?

what does it say on AM?

your modulation meter is not made to work on SSB.
on SSB, you look at the PEP wattage of the signal, not the modulation percentage.

if you want to turn up the modulation pot inside the radio, there are mods all over the net to tell you which one to turn.

anyone wanting a "clean signal", just look to the left and build one of these!!!
