Greetings all, first post on this site.
I am trying to resurrect an old PC68 LTW. It has been in storage for many years, used to run a Palomar 175 I think. So it was tuned for this amp. No longer have the amp. Shows DK of 5 watts. No movement on the S meter when talking. No swing at all.
I just tuned up a Lil Wilson mag ant for this project... SWR around 1.3 through the mid sections, and got a response from a radio check the other day so I know it is transmitting somewhat.

Any suggestions on which pots to tune. I have found one post that gives the following...

Power Adjust L18 L17 L14
Modulation VR5
Squelch VR4
Signal Meter VR1
RF Meter VR7

another post above shows

Power L10 L9 L8....?

How do I achieve some swing ... all I have is a flat 5 watt output. Modulation or not.

Let the experiment begin.... if nobody has any input I will just dive in and slowly turn pots and record original starting positions of them and results. Slow and maddening I guess... so help me keep my sanity please.... insert smiley here...!!

Adjust L10 for under 4 watts deadkey. VR5 will adjust the modulation. You should see more forward movement on the radios meter. let us know how you did with the radio. 3's....
