NORTHSTSR / (NS) Series Frequency Conversion #1 ~Remove Bottom cover. #2 ~ Find the small board that will have the channel selector attached to it. #3 ~On the right rear corner of this small board you will find a small wire loop, Cut the loop so that it is an OPEN connection. NOTE! this LOOP is only about 3/16 of an inch. CUT / OPEN this wire loop right against the board. #4 ~ Then locate the (YELLOW) wire that comes from the edge connector of this same little board that has the Channel Selector located on it. It will go to the Bright/Dim switch. Some where in the middle of this wire you will see a black heat shrink tubing over the wire. #5 ~ Remove the heat shrink tubing " VERY CAREFULLY" and then re-connect the Yellow wire, as it is an open connection under that heat shrink. #6 ~ Replace bottom cover. To select a band you want place the DIM switch all the way to DIM. This will now display a N1, N2, N3--- N8 in the channel selector window. The CB/11 Meter Band is band #5 or Band #4 #7 ~ When you have switched to the band you want place BRIGHT/DIM switch back to BRIGHT. #8 ~ Frequency / Channel conversion complete. I need help locating the Am power pod on my Northstar NS-9500 Base. With the top cover and bottom off, I only see and have excess to one pod. The board has a metal covering on both side's. Thank you. |
