There is 3 pins and a little black jumper goes on 2 pins. Problem is I have 2 KL-203 amps. And 1 jumper goes on the front 2, and the other the rear 2 pins. The jumper look like the ones found in the old style of RCI-2950, or on a Computer CD drive. I would say hook it up to a radio & meter and see if it keys the amp with a QUICK 1sec key. If it shows around 100 watts or more you'll know that it's working. Also just for fun. Look in the Utilities search under slip seating for a post by Tech671. It gives you a nice little look at what this little amp can do. And make really want to try your new toy out. It may be small but it packs a nice punch. A lot of BANG for the buck. I sure love mine. http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/discus4/discus.cgi Izzy CEF#502

Thanks , RM's website said there is no conversion needed on the KL203p as it already covers 27mhz.
