I got a jc penny 6204 at my local flea market for 50 cents for parts, but the radio works and looks ok. I would like to put rf gain on this to make it more functional for me. There is a ton of truck traffic where I live, and rf gain is an invaluable function for me, it clears the air a little. Anyway, after searching for the last couple days, I found that the hygain model 2702 is almost identical to my 6204, is there a way to copy the rf gain circuit. I got the schematic for the hygain, but I can't seem to put it together to figure out how to put rf gain on the 6204. Any ideas? This is just a cheap old radio, but it is a good learning tool for me, if I screw it up, it's no big loss.
Thanks
