I would like to use the PA/Cb switch to turn on and off the talkback (resistor across the pa/ex speaker jack).
I have found the repair manual, etc.but they don't show wiring colors.

1.Would it be possible to place the resistor at or near the switch so I didn't have extra wires running from the back to the front?

2.Which wires would I join together to place the radio in "cb" all the time? This way I could use the switch and run the wires back to the resistor.

I'm looking for any mods like this.
Thanx in advance.

here is a wiring schematic . all you have to do is check the switch to see what leads are together at the switch when it is in cb mode. you will lose the pa feature if you want to turn the talkback on and off. you have to use the back area for the talkback as it is.

Thanks again Sonoma.
I wish I had a drawing program to show how easy it was.
Got out my DVM.
Disconnect all the wires from the switch.
On the right side center pin was pink with gray below it. Pink had 8 volts, joined that to the gray below it.
On the left center pin was orange, joined that with the purple.
Ran 2 wires from the back of the radio to the bare switch, good to go.
