i would not do it to mine, that is just part of a super tune.the vr-9000 performs great like it is,i did the mod in the subscriber section and it is great,i would not supertune any radio, besides its alot of work just to get 1 or 2 extra watts and it somtimes efects radios in difrent ways.

OK, thanks Jyd. I am happy with the way it works as is, I was just curious. I do want to do the Mod though that is in the subscriber section but I don't have all the equipment to do it on my own. I want to send it to 307 but I hate to part with it...You know what I mean..

Thanks again...

But don't you need something to power it up with also?.....if not then yes, I'll only need to buy the meter and the parts. I could use a meter in the house anyway. (that's what I'll tell the wife)....

thanks

you dont have a power supply? go to radio shack and buy a cheap power supply use it then take it back and get a refund.you wiil need a watt meterto adjust your am power as in the instructions.i did the mod and my vr-9000 has never been tuned on and i get a 1watt dead key and a 45watt swing and its loud and clear.i think it took me 30 minutes to do the mod and i took my time.
