hey all just wondering if anyone has any old pills laying around i'm thinking about trying to convert a m800 to a driven sweet sixteen but don't want to spend the cash till i know it's gonna work right i need 8 2sc2879 and 2 2sc2290

the sweet16 dosnt have a driver,if you plan on driveing it you dont need 2290's.bypass the 2 drivers.me my self i would leave the drivers in and then drive it with my radio,that way you dont pull mor amps than you have plus less equipment laying around. |

from what i'v been told the sweet 16 is ment to be driven by a killer bee which has 2 2sc2290's so what i was planing was to but the 2290's inside to rule out having to run 2 boxes i have my radio set to 1.5 watts dead key.i don't even know if this will work or not but i needed cash so i sold the good box that i had so now my choices are a 667 that after keying it up for about 10 seconds starts pouring out smoke and blows the finals or the m800 thats only putting out 400 which around here might get a half mile range so thats why i'm thinking about this converision. i'v heard of people constantly changing pills for compitition so i thought i'd post this and see if someone wanted to get rid of there old ones i figure even worn out ones would be enough to see if the amp can handle it without blowing up everything else in the box and i hate to buy new ones only to have them blow as soon as i key it up

on pills there either good or bad,they dont where out.are you the on that had a post a while back that someone took out the drivers so they could drive it.if so just put the drivers back in |

yes it was me a while back and i'm still trying to get it working right i did put the driver back in and that was when i was getting the 400 out of it so i droped it off at a shop today to have it fixed and hopfully get more out of it.after keying it up for a couple of minutes i felt all the pills and the finals were warm but the driver was ice cold so i tried a total of 8 used pills as drivers and either all 8 were bad or something else is really wrong i guess i was just fooling myself thinking i could save the money of taking it in and just fix it myself but on the other hand i was able to fix my 667 that the tech i was going to couldn't fix while he's had it for over a year guess i'm just better at stupid little things all that was wrong was a solder bridge by one of the pills so now i'm gonna sell both of theese and try and find a used sweet 16 for a good price i just missed out on one this week for 325 but another deal will come around

i say sweetsixteens are a waste of money,you can get a davemade or x-force and get more out of one of those plus they have built in fans and all |
