I bought a 2970dx off of ebay and afterwards I was told there are some of them that can't be modified for 11 meter use, how do I tell if this is one of them?

It will have a small module wrapped in heat shrink that plugs into the front of the radio behind the controls. This is not true on ALL 2970DX's but some had this module.

See, I was told some of the can't be modified at all? Don't know if this is true or not.

someone told me that 2.copper has one for sale that cant be converted
