hay, 307 or any teck with info, will do. I have a two year old Galaxy 2517. What I want to know is there any way to add 12 meters to my radio, with out having to by a Ranger 2985 DX or a 2995 DX. With the 10&12 Meter. Is there any way to extend the covarage of the faze lope. I like the Galaxy 2517 very much. The radio is set up for 25.615 to 28.045. Thank you.

I'm not a tech but i have a 2527 base. behind the faceplate is a black jumper that connects two pins together. next to that you'll see two more pins. i moved the jumper over to the other pins and then soldered the other two together. i have channels from 26.000 to 32.000 with this mod. brad.

get 2 xtals and a 3 position xtal switch and try that, each xtal should be 455khz belowthe radios normal range . then retune the vco. this might do it. remember first findout what the main mixer xtal is then go 455kc`s down each. example: 14.460, then 14.010, then 13.560. understand? switch them electronically . that should work...the radios broadbanded enough and im sure any tech worth his salt should know how to do this.
