Weakstation,

The Channel Guard Bleedover Kit will give you up to 100db Adjacent channel rejection.

They are Crystal filters for 7.8 & 10.695 MHz.

I live in a noisy area and have the CGK in both the mobil and the base to great satisfaction.
A neighbor is having trouble with bleed over from a neighbor that is broadcasting three chanels away. I parked the mobil in the drive way and there was no bleed over on the mobil.
The cost of the kit and installation is right for the results gained.

they work fine . but i guarantee you one thing tho if a trucker with a 1500 watt kicker is close by to you, i guarantee you no channnel guard or nothings gonna work .period.no sarcasm intended or implied ,just telling it like it is.

Rightwing,

You are so right. I did not intend to say they are a cure all.
A very good step in the right direction.

Weakeststation,

Glad I could help answer your question.

As Rightwing stated they are not a cure for every situation.

Where Ironmask Lives (NY)he is very close to a major truck stop (less than 1/2 mile) and it is a big help to him with bleedover from other channels.

Here in (IL) where I live I have 6 others within a 1 block area, 2 within a 1000 feet of my Antennas. They do work for me and for them as we all are on different channels most of the day.

I also live within a 3/4 mile of I-55/I-74/I-51 Interchange so it is a must with all of the truck traffic on the highway's and truckstops.

Dosen't stop it all but knocks about 90% of it down or out.

You will always have those who need a 1000 watts to talk 1000 feet to another truck or two rows over in the parking lot.

KINDA LIKE TIM ALLEN!
"MORE POWERRRRRRRRRRR"

The CG Kits do work for me.

yes they do .in fact im gonnna get one for my ranger ar-3300. one thing also if you are close to a person with that much wattage i also can darn sure guarantee you that power runner will ruin the FET transistor in your radio. its happened to several people i knew over the years and i`ve been on cb for 27 years.

Buck,

I am just about 1/8 mile from I-39/I-74/I-55 Interchange & about 2 miles from Rt-9 & Two large truck stops.

I can say they work very well for close channel rejection.

With about 20,000 to 30,000 Trucks going by every day to: Indy, Chicago, & St Louis I give it a "BIG"

I have put several in for Ironmask and his friends and will let him tell you how he likes them.

Buck,

I have a serious hearing impairment. My aids pick up many sounds that normal hearing doesn't.
With the CG I can pick out the audio I am seaking without having to dig out what I need to hear. To me it is more on the order of a one on one conversation than being in a crowd and still trying to understand the person I am talking with.
Another problem this has helped with. There has just opened, about a 1/4 mile, a major distribution center [750 trucks a day] that uses 11 meters for internal dispatch. They use channel 14. With the CG I have NO problem with bleed over until a trucker keys down. There have been two instances where the management has asked the driver to turn it down or off. The trucks system was overpowering the in house system.
I must add that I am not saying that trucks are the problem just the uneducated operator.
I started driving in 1952.
With every system operating as it was designed to work [transmit and receive] you can't go wrong with the CG.
Just my humble opinion.
