The best mod I know of is the Magnum 257!
I don't think the HTX can be converted. |

Even if you get it onto 11 meters, you are stuck with USB and CW only. The radio won't run AM at all. Doesn't sound worth the trouble, unless you speak (and hear) fluent Espagnol. Sure don't hear much CW on 11 meters. '671 has the right idea: jack it up and drive another radio in under it.

Look here... alot of radios that are the same but diffrent.... you decide by comparison...

I wonder if you took a chip out of a junk 257 or black hawk or tittan 2 and put it in this radio how it would work...... may be worth a try.. |
