Any mods for these boxes?? What dk's do they like?
I have a General Lee and a VR9000. The Palomar 250 loves the VR9000 but I get very little swing with the General Lee only 100W or so.

the swing the radio puts out is directly proportunate to the what the amp puts out. for instance, i ran a texas 500 with a galaxy 949 that would d.k. 4 watts and swing 15. at this level it would put out around 300 watts . pretty dissappointing. then i detuned my 2970 dx to d.k. at 2 watts but swing 50 and the 500 now puts out 700 and runs dead cool. linears love swing and high deadkeys make them overheat and under-produce. swings the thing so get ya a radio that can swing 30 or so and everything else will be happy. brad. |
