ANY INFORMATION ON MODS FOR GALLAXY44 ON MOD.,PEAK&TUNE, ETC. KOOKIEMAN Kookieman, VR-1 = AM/FM S-Meter VR-4 = AM/FM Squelch Range VR-5 = FM Deviation VR-8 = RF Meter VR-12 = Low Power AM Modulation VR-13 = AM/FM High Power VR-14 = High Power AM Modulation VR-16 = AM/FM Low Power SUPER-TALK: 1 - Lift leg of R-238. Insert a 1N4745 Zener Diode (a 16 V, 1 W type) band side up. 2 - Solder the Zener diode to the PCB. 3 - Next, solder the resistor lead you lifted from the PCB to the banded end on the Zener diode. Gives you FULL Modulation Swing at LOW power. and increases RMS watts too. As with all mods try these at your own risk. Lon tech808

Channel conversion if you don't know it.. a. open up your radio b. find the small circuit board on the left of the radio. c. cut the green wire and tape it off. d.there is an unplugged connector by this board, plug it in e.near the front of the radio there is a connector marked +10k. reconnect the plug to the board. f. thats it, you now have frequencys from 25.165-28.755 .. take care hope this adds to your knowledge on these radois... |
