This is a trick to expand your RCI over the factory limits. It's not very clean but it works great...
change the x2 chtystal (Quartz)that is a 10,240mhz value one. You can experiment quartz from 9mhz -12mhz (It will depend on what you have)This mod will increase the coverage of your RCI from 25-33mhz if you make all the quartz switches. Becarefull, the frequency displayed by the lcd screen won't be true, you will need a seperate freq counter.. DO NOT TOUCH TO THE OTHER CRYSTALS, it will cause other problems....

THE BIG QUESTION IS... WHO ELSE HAS HEARD OF THIS MOD AND HOW GOOOOOOOOOD DOES IT REALLLLLLLY WORK???? http://www.rayrichradio.com/2950.htm

Where it says the displayed frequency will be COMPLETELY USELESS, believe it. Not only does the frequency change, but the AMOUNT of change per digit on the display will now be different. Punching the up button with the underline at the left will no longer bump you up and down 100 kHz per click. If you go lower, it will be less than 100 kHz. A higher crystal will give you a jump per click of more than 100 kHz. Kinda nutty, I think.

This sure looks like a page from the "RCI Rom" that a guy in France was selling a few years ago. Didn't see any attribution of where "Ray" got it. Hmmmm..
