anyone have any good mods for this radio i have one an was going to use it in my work truck an was wondering if anyone knew of any good mods for this one

Only mods I have for this radio is tune up Info:

MODULATION: Adjust RV2 or Cut D11

AM POWER: Adjust T3, T4, L3

hey Dr.FeelGood, you might want to take a peak at the chip and let us know what chip # it is, you never know might be able to put channels in it. Need chip info..

Is that a PLL02A radio ? most Ge's were.

hello
first of all i want to thank each an every one of you guys for your help on this an to say this is one of the best forums that i have been a menber of. now for the radio it has a pllo3a chip in it but it also has a 10.240 crystal in it to i found everything but t3 an t4 in the radio i will have to break out my specs to see better fellows. thank you all for your help great bunch of guy an i enjoy reading all the forums here keep up the good work.

I don't know about you guys but i don't have nothing on the PLL 03a a chip, sorry i can't help.

The PLL08A (FM-EEC & PLL03A (AM US)

Identicial principle to TC9109 & LC7136/37 chassis with the downmixer stage added because chips are not fast enough for direct VCO division.

I didnt find anything either looks like the only way to do would be to build or buy a crystal kit for 40 up and 40 down.

hello all
can i do the super diode trick to this radio? also can i change the final to the 2sc1969 final? i can get no watts out of it the way it is now.i did pull the diode on it an done the cap an resistor mod to it to lower the dead key down to one watt an got it to swing from one watt to around 6 before i done it ,it was dead keying 4 an swing to 6 watts.

What final it have in it now ? The 1969 is not going to help much. I have seen some radio's that just wont tune-up but,if its got 100% modulation thats all it needs.

i got it it had a nec c1306 final in it an i replace it with a 2sc1969 an put verable watts in it to an tuned it the best i could it keys 1 watt an swingsabout 18 to 20 watts with super modulation thanks everyone for your help
