I am trying to tune or "detune" these radios rf output so i can drive some small linears. The 32 is getting a KL-60 and the 29 is getting a KL-300p. what should i adjust the power to drive these amps? Also, what are the proper "screws" to adjust on either/ both radios?

If you have info on either radio i would apprecaite.

Jbyrd,

On the 29LTD Adjust L14, L13, L12 to lower power.

On the 32XLR Adjust L5, L3 to lower power.

I would suggest ""NO MORE"" than 3 1/2 to 4 WATTS MAX DEAD KEY to drive both of these Amps.

My Suggestion would be 3 1/2 By not driving it to the max they should last you a long time with no Problems.

Just my thought's.

hey guys thanks for the responses. I am not trying to be as powerful as possible and think i will try to stay under a 3 watt dead key just to ensure a nice clean tx.
