Bad idea, that.

You will find that just adding a delay to the keying relay won't cut the mustard.

All "DaveMade" amplifiers are biased strictly for AM. SSB modulation will sound like a buzzsaw even if you add a delay to stop the relay from chattering.

The simplest method is to take a 1000 uF electrolytic capacitor and connect the positive end to the relay terminal that has the keying transistor connected to it. The negative end of the capacitor goes to a switch, and the other side of the switch goes to ground. This is what the Texas Star amplifiers use for SSB delay. It will work well enough for you to try listening to it, so you can decide it sounds so terrible you won't waste any more time on improving the SSB delay.

C biased amps sound like sh_t on ssb. Buy a Magnaforce or Texas Star for ssb.

magan force and texas star and the xforce version tnt amps are not what you think
they are a Class B bias.

besides why mess with a perfect amp like a Davemade
and for the record
i can install a ssb delay in any class c box and talk to you on ssb and you couldnt tell me what kind of box i was running
its all about the radio and how its setup
a amplifier only amplifies whats coming in
and the ssb delay is only to delay the relay from chatteering
