Was wondering if it is true that you cant get the channel conversion to work properly with the RCI8719 chip.I have been trying all the configurations that I have read with little sucsess.I get some channels but they jump around too much to be worth figuring out. I read that you have to change the chip to a MB8719 and clip a resister nearby.I can get more power by adding a bigger final but without the extra freqs it is not worth it.Can anyone help.

I Have the 696f and you can do the channel conversion,I used the Tone..Dim/bright buttons for this and It works great. You dont need to change the chips either.

Good Luck and 73's
