i hope I aint asking too much, but I need the mods for cb channels, etc on those 2 radio shack rigs...i know one is usb and cw ONLY, and the other is am/fm / lsb / usb but no cw.... can you help ? THANK YOU in advance. ....( think i found a good buy on one, but it is still 10 meters ( price is $69.00 ...new in the box ) )and yes I am legal for 10 meters, as of 2/1/03 |

Not sure about the htx-100 but the htx-10 will not convert to 11 meters

This site will give you all the tricks for the HTX-100. They are the same mods that are used for the HR-2510.

To the best of my knowledge, only a few of the early HTX-10's were modifiable as far as frequency expansion.

ok thank you for the information...i already have a normal 40 channel cb in the vehicle, just wanted to possibly put 10 meter all mode in the vehicle, with an antenna switch between the two...or use seperate antennas for the 2 bands ( 10 meters & 11 meters ),,,...not really hot on the idea of having a modified rig ( like a galaxy or a ranger ) in my vehicle...no insult toward others, but I have my reasons...thank you for the help and information. |
