I have a new KLV-550 and need info. for the 11 meter mod. Any help appreciated.

That should have a row of 4 pins standing verticle running front to back. The rear two pins are to be shorted together.

Remember this amp requires VERY LOW DRIVE. 2w carrier and 12w peak is PLENTY.

Hello,

What's all the business with shorting the pins on kl-500 and kl-550 amps? Does this mean the amp will not work if none of the pins are closed/shorted? Or does it mean that the amp will work on diff frequency ranges pending on which pins are shorted? Thanks in advance.

They will work on different frequencies and not on 11 meters.

Most amps have to be converted somehow to work in these frequencies.
