I just got the Connex 3300 rebel flag radio. What mods are there for the radio? Is there a resistor that I can remove and put a diode in place of to get more modulation or swing? What is the average swing watts on this radio after peaked?
thanks for any info and help!!

Remove R-238 and install a 1n4001 to 1n4004 diode in its place with banded end to the right towards the regulator. Cut R-249.

Set high power (VR-13) at 8 watts maximum.
Set low power (VR-16) at 1.5 to 2 watts maximum.

Be sure to make these power settings into a dummyload and in the order that I gave them. High pwr first, then low pwr. If you don't use a load, you will NEVER know where you are really setting the power levels.

Removing TR-32 will defeat the AMC but by doing so you can easily over-modulate the radio.
