Does anyone out here use a SP-1 or the CBC Intl processors ? Or are they the same ? I have used one in the past on a much older radio with good results. I came across another SP-1 from a dead radio and was thinking of putting it in a 2950 that I have done most of the RCI web mods to already.

I have installed several CBC DSPs. I think they're great accessories; they do improve average power, especially on SSB, without modification to limiters. I've also used SP-1As, but only a couple.

I don't know how a speach processor would perform in a modified radio, and I don't think they have the same impact as some of the modifications, but I prefer to use a well tuned stock radio and under those circumstances these processers do make a difference.
