Can this radio be modified, if so what would be the Freak range ? What has to been done ? If I can't do it who could.

The cobra 29s usually have kits to modify them. I would look around for a kit for it. I have heard that modified 29s don't stay on frequency very well. Does anyone else have any experience with the modified 29s?

well i have a modified 40+ and 40- cobra 29ltd classic and it kicks butt. loud and everyone says it sounds good. no real problem with drifting. everyradio drifts some. it takes a .....A+ kit i believe to convert the new ones. its really an easy board to put in. hey good luck
