They can with a driver, I used a switch to switch out my 2sc2290 driver final so I could use a TS250v as a driver. I bet he's changed the driver final to a 2sc2879 and changed the caps to run the different driver final. Thats the max they will do though or so I've seen. Its not recommended to do that all the time or it will go POOF.
As coax goes yes I change mine to mini8x just to save loss even though there is not a measurable amount at that length, Makes me feel better.

It's not possible. When you "Clip" really bad it is sort of "DC". Hook a 9 volt "DC" battery to your Dosy , It will read about 1.2 KW...Go figure...

1200 watts.. he he.. Ummm can you say harmonics and a loose meter? I had one a few years ago and it did about close to 700 MAX and no more on my meter. Good amp though!!!!! :^D

Yous ohm's law. With the 667v keyed at 100%MODULATION. With a amp meter in line from your power source to your 667V check your amperage draw and multiply times your voltage and that's your true watts. That's ohms law. Meters lie ohms law don't.

Audiojoe, I don't beleive that is ohm's law, ohm's law is voltage = current x resistance If you use your formula, which is how you convert amps to watts you only get how many watts the amp is pulling from the battery. An amplifier is not 100% efficient, Power is lost as heat. Also what about the wattage from the radio? 12 volts DC into the amp vs. the RF coming out of the amp, I don't even know if RF can be accurately measured in volts.
