how far do you adjust the high and low adjustments for this radio....

set it were you want it.

though id not go with more than 40 watts dead key on the high end. and set the low end were you want it or were it acts best at.

mine is set on low side at 5 watts and i thinks its 40 on the high side of the knob.i always run them low dead key though.

from 5 watts it swings 120 watts with loud audio normal voice its around 85 watts.

it max's out around 190-200 watts but like i said it see's 85 watts 99.9% of the time.

bullet..are you talkin ssb?on am i found that a deadkey over 30 watts rms swings backwards..i thought this strange becauce this radio is 50 rms stock am from the factory..so would i be better off setting it to right befor it swings backwards or up to 40watts or so..i think turned all the way up it will dead key 150,,this radio was peaked also..hk

I would love the same information about the RCI 2970 (non-DX) version.

Where ought I set the HI and LO power adjustments? Is there an advantage to setting it to a low dead-key? What is the max output of a 2970 on AM and SSB?

If you are seeing a backwards swing, either you don't have enough power supply on it or someone did a terrible job of tuning the RF section.

what do u turn to set high and low power? Mine is only doing 80 watts ssb. Also is there an rf alignment as is the 2970? tony cef 259
